Meaning of “tappa(タッパ)”
“tappa(タッパ)” means body height as a kind of slang that has been in use for a long time..
Saying someone “has height” is expressed as “tappa ga aru(たっぱがある)” in Japanese.
The origin of the word comes from an architectural term, “tappa(建端)”, which refers to the height of a building. (However, most people are probably unaware of this origin — I just learned it myself while looking it up!)
